We are a 100% volunteer based festival. We promote and welcome
unity, diversity, and cultural heritage. This is one of the largest
Southeast Asian American cultural festival in the country. The three
organizations hosting the ILNYF has the blessings of the local SF Bay Area
Laotian American leadership and associations. We welcome our brothers and
sisters from Thailand, Burma, and Cambodia, parts of China, Sri Lanka, etc
who celebrate this New Year celebration in the month of April to join hands
with us to showcase the unique and beautiful cultural diversity and
similarities we have to offer to the world.
 
This New Year festival cannot be sustained and survive without the continued
support of private donations, booth vendors, sponsors, advertisers, in kind
donations, and moral support from the community at large. We appreciate and
asked for your support of this rare, unique, cultural experience found
nowhere else in the United States at this scale and to bring visibility,
awareness, to educate the mainstream about who we are, where we came from,
and why we are promoting and preserving our cultural heritage.
 
Through diversity we can appreciate one another and have a better
understanding of the highly connect global world in the 21st century.
Thanks to the world wide web, advances in telecommunication, and ease of
travel by the myriad of flights around the world for making this possible.
 
We welcome everyone and hope you will enjoy the festival.  We also look
forward to hearing your feedback.
 
Make it a vacation in San Francisco. Come see why this is one of most
beautiful cities on Earth. We plan to host the ILNYF the second Saturday of
each April in the coming years.
